Juan "Coel" Rodriguez
Technical production Intern
production@dancetheyard.org

Juan "Coel" Rodriguez is a local Arizona based artist, educator, performer and researcher. He began his art venture at the age of 12 in urban dance, his primary form being breaking or bboying. Through a variety of programs and training, he was able to dive into other forms including postmodern dance, house, locking, and a variety of other styles. Currently, Juan's work entails the research of both history and aesthetics of urban forms, primarily breaking, as well as researching his own integrative contemporary practice. As the production intern he hopes to learn more about the field of design as it relates to the field as well as his own artistry.
