Born
in Tel Aviv, Israel, Dana grew up dancing mainly at Bat dor dance
studios. Later, she danced with emerging choreographers in Israel,
as well as abroad. In 2000, Dana served in the IDF for two years
as an instructor film producer in the Air force. Her unique voice
as a young choreographer was first revealed at the Shades in Dance
Festival at Suzanne Dellal center, with her dance creation BoomBox.
a female duet inside a boxing ring, which she later adapted for
video. Dana gained other film education from Thierry De Mey's
workshop at UCLA on dance for the camera. Upon receiving her BA
in dance from VCA , Melbourne, she started working on her last
piece, Ego Trip, for which she received a grant from
the Israeli Culture and Arts Council. The piece was well -received
in the Israeli press, and was favorably reviewed in the English
Language Jerusalem
Post. Today, Dana teaches contemporary dance, and is working
in collaboration with a Berlin based composer on a new dance creation
with a live orchestra.
