Deborah Damast, a resident of New York City and Martha's Vineyard, will present 8 pieces of original choreographic works. The work embodies a broad dynamic range, exciting and intense, with music selections from Max Raabe, Dimitri Shostakovitch, Pink Martini, Mongolian throat singers, and more! Ms. Damast's movement style is kinetic, powerful, and musical. The dancers' unique styles and approaches to the movement allow for a wholistic yet diverse group dynamic. Deborah Damast is a professor of Dance Education at New York University, and has choreographed and taught in NYC for over 20 years. Her work has also been presented internationally in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
