Multiple Tony Award nominee and 2009 recipient of the National Black Theatre Festival's "Living Legend" Award, André De Shields (you may know him from The Wiz, The Full Monty, and Ain’t Misbehavin’) returns to The Yard following his recent Broadway run in Impressionism. Conceived, researched, written and performed by De Shields, Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory explores the life and achievements of Frederick Douglass, the Great Emancipator.
