Making It Artist Educator
Danielle Doell, originally from Cleveland, Ohio, is a dancer, choreographer and educator. She graduated from Ohio University in 2014 with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography and a Minor in Business Administration. Danielle was the Community Programs and General Management intern for the Yard’s 2014 Summer Season. Before returning to the island, Danielle lived in NYC and Ireland working for New York Live Arts, Gibney Dance, Dublin Dance Festival, and upon her return, the Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival. Additionally, Danielle has had the pleasure of dancing with The Movement Project of Cleveland, the Sean Curran Company, The Median Movement, Doug Nielsen, The Cathy Sharp Dance Ensemble of Basel, Switzerland and DanceTheYard. More recently, she has developed a creative partnership with her co-worker, Leah Crosby, entitled ‘LanDforms’. They have created work for Built On Stilts Dance Festival, The FARM Institute, and Triskelion Arts of Brooklyn, NY. Danielle is ecstatic to be living on this beautiful island, working as a Making It Artist Educator, and occasionally handing people cookies behind the counter of the Scottish Bakehouse.
