Andrea Sofia Sala  was born in San Antonio, Texas, but grew up in Northern Mexico. During her high school years, she was heavily involved with dance companies and programs around San Antonio. Andrea then moved up north to snowy Massachusetts to get her BFA in Lighting Design and minor in Engineering Sciences, specializing in electrical engineering from Boston University. 

She is currently the Lighting Supervisor for Dance Theater of Harlem. Andrea is a lighting designer and production manager for local dance artists at the Boston Center for the Arts. She is also a performer within the Boston dance community.

When she's not working, Andrea can be found dancing like nobody's watching, reading any sort of horror novel, or drinking way too much coffee!
