Michele Sasso is the Director of Information Technology and Strategic Projects at Boston Children’s Hospital, in the Children’s Hospital Integrated Care Organization (CHICO). Responsible for the strategy and implementation of care model redesign and clinical integration for the Commonwealth’s most vulnerable pediatric patient population, Ms. Sasso is one of the leaders on the team working to shift toward value-based care and healthcare reform in Massachusetts. Ms. Sasso leads with enthusiasm and is motivated by creating positive social impact. As an adjunct professor at Boston University’s School of Public Health, Ms. Sasso also enjoys inspiring and advising our future public health leaders. Ms. Sasso has held roles at other healthcare systems including St. Louis Children’s Hospital, BJC Healthcare, and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. 

Prior to her career in healthcare management, Ms. Sasso worked in the performing arts, dancing for contemporary dance companies in Philadelphia, Miami, and New York City. Making the transition from dance to arts  administration, Ms. Sasso spent three seasons working at The Yard on Martha’s Vineyard, and continues  to support local art and community organizations as a volunteer or advisor to nonprofit agencies. She  has sat on the board of Green Street Studios in Cambridge, MA, the Illinois Center for Autism, and  served as a Logistics Committee Member for the National Kidney Foundation. Ms. Sasso holds an MBA in  healthcare management and social entrepreneurship from Washington University in St. Louis’ Olin Business School, and a Bachelor’s degree from Muhlenberg College. 

Born and raised in sunny Miami, Florida, Ms. Sasso now enjoys the four seasons, knows how to properly shuck an oyster, and considers herself a transplanted New Englander. She splits her time between Boston and the beautiful island of Martha’s Vineyard with her partner Ty Rossi.
