The 92Y Dance Education Laboratory based in New York City, is a professional development program for all educators and artists interested in developing their dance education curricula. DEL is a leader in providing quality educational resources and classes for educators and is a New York State Education Department-approved Sponsor of Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE).

"But I'm not a dance educator."

Perfect! We love embracing differences!

The mission of DEL is to bring dance into children’s and teens’ lives and education by:
· Inspiring teachers to be lifelong learners
· Encouraging experimentation and observation in teaching
· Promoting the artistic development of teachers
· And empowering teachers to give students ownership of the art form as a means of communication, collaboration and problem-solving, as a key to understanding their cultural heritage and as a medium for personal aesthetic expression.

These are skills that transcend a specific concentration or expertise but that allow personal and professional development to be an integrated experience, thereby inspiring new ideas about teaching, learning, and curriculum development and execution! You will also experience the debut of The DEL App- Dance Maker, an exciting app that brings technology and creative tools into the hands of teachers and students worldwide!
