H.O.W. Journal is an art & literary journal that publishes an eclectic mix of today’s prominent writers and artists along-side upcoming talents with an effort to raise money and awareness for children in need around the world. The publication features works of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry as well as visual arts. Currently H.O.W. Journal is raising funds to support the work of Village Health Works in Burundi, East Africa.

In this year’s Great Gatsby-themed event, H.O.W. Journal will celebrate the release of its 12th issue with a festive, Roaring Twenties-esque evening that marries dance with literature. The evening will feature readings from four prominent fiction writers and poets, followed by a performance by Dance The Yard resident artists.  Complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will follow.

Featured Artists include:

Mark Doty (poet and memoirist)
Ishion Hutchinson (poet and essayist)
Victoria Redel (fiction writer and poet)
Kathryn Stockett (novelist)
